S.A.M.S Learner

I feel like I've been doing heaps of work because I have been doing more work then I used to do.

In science we are learning to explain what condensation and evaporation means. Conpensation is when the little droplets in the clouds join together and starts to rain when the droplets get heavier. Evaporation is when the sun is shining on the lakes and heats the water. What the heat does is it makes the particles vibrates and starts to evaporate and turns from a liquid to a gas which is water vapour.

Math

in maths we are learning to use compensation, place value and turn abouts by doing this you have to get the number that you got and switch it around. Example 386x4 i turn it around to 4x386 to make it easier for me to answer then i do a range of numbers and put them in order.

Multiplication in Maths

In maths we have been learning about compensation. Compensation means taking away a little from a tidy ten or adding a little to a tidy ten. For example 6x38= 6x40= 240 -6x2=
240-12=228. What i did is i rounded it up to the nearest ten to make it easier for me then i took 6 lots of 2 away from 240 because 38 is 2 less than 40 and then added it up.
